With an aim to ease the financial burden of the people, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took yet another historic decision and announced to waive off the pending electricity bills dues in all households till December 31, 2021.

Addressing a press conference here, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Ropar MLA Dinesh Chadha said that there was some confusion among the people that dues up to 2 kW were only waived, however, CM Mann said that in view of the problems of the common people. Has decided. Waive off outstanding electricity bills of all connections till 31st December 2021.

Attacking the opposition for filling its own coffers with government funds for decades, the AAP MLA said, “AAP is working for the welfare of the people while the previous government looted Punjab for decades. We are fulfilling all our election promises and now Punjabis are getting 300 electricity units free of cost per month. CM Mann also waived off the pending electricity bills of all the houses till December 31 last year.

Describing the AAP government as committed for the all-round development of Punjab, MLA Chadha said that all other guarantees made by AAP to the people of Punjab would be fulfilled soon.
